Pledge to Humanity is reaching out to the poorest country in the Western hemisphere: Haiti! Even two years after the devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010, the country remains in the early recovery phase. More than 250,000 Haitians lost their lives and one million people remain homeless. Hurricains and Cholera continue to kill more victims.
Pledge to Humanity is helping the children on the streets in Haiti. Many of them are homeless and without any resources. Another 1500 children and young adult die of heart failure every year in Haiti. Funds will be raised to find a home for children and to put them into school. Also Pledge for Humanity supports the first Heart Surgery Program in Haiti which started with American physicians this year at the Hopital Sacre Coure in Milot (www.crudem.org).
