Pledge to Humanity partnered with Blue Star Moms donating almost 900 pounds of candy to troops overseas. The Student Council of Rancho Romero Elementary, Stone Valley Youth Act, and others in the community once again did an amazing job with this drive. The children gladly donated their excess halloween candy and encouraged friends and family to support this candy drive.
A mother from Blue Star Moms, a partnership of mothers with children serving overseas, came to speak at the event where we all sorted the hundreds of pounds of candy. We were all moved by hearing her speak of the importance that these care packages have to the troops who are fighting overseas and were glad to know that the candy we had collected would be sent to them.
