A few words from Pledge to Humanity:
I like to think of Pledge to Humanity as a bridge between the children in our community and those in need here and all around the world.
Equally important is the gift of empowering our children to share of themselves and understand the true meaning of giving and personally making a difference in the lives of others.
The students had a great time making sandwiches this morning at Glide Memorial, and were able to make over 200 sandwiches. The Acalanes students are looking forward to more volunteer opportunities!
Making Sandwiches for the Needy
Acalanes High School did their first activity for Pledge to Humanity organized by President Fernanda Heredia. We made 200 sandwiches in 30 minutes with the help of all of our amazing club members! (Lily Hooker, Max Stryker, Jake Stone, Colin Kirbach, Parker Bahl, Anna DeRoque, Emilio Heredia) These sandwiches were then donated by Fernanda Heredia and VP Allie Figueredo to a Concord shelter. We are all happy to be able to make a difference in the world.
