A few words from Pledge to Humanity:
I like to think of Pledge to Humanity as a bridge between the children in our community and those in need here and all around the world.
Equally important is the gift of empowering our children to share of themselves and understand the true meaning of giving and personally making a difference in the lives of others.
Sincerely, Gaby
In February, the Inspire girls (in addition to several other Rancho PTH groups) worked together with The Kids Against Hunger Organization to package food rations for Haiti. Together we were able to make 3888 packs of the Rice rations in 2 hours. We were also shown a video that explained KAH mission and how we can all help. It was a very moving experience.
The group purchased 20 loaves of bread, 16 packages of deli meat, and 5 blocks of cheese and assembled 250 sandwiches. Together they delivered the sandwiches to a homeless shelter in Concord.
For their December meeting, the girls used the funds from their raffle to buy gifts for those in need. Great job, girls!
